Shili was a planet of the Expansion Region and homeworld of the Togruta, a sensual and passionate species that included the Jedi Shaak Ti and Ahsoka Tano.
Description[edit]
Shili was a world of the Shili system in the Ehosiq sector of the Expansion Region, and was situated at grid square L-8 of the Standard Galactic Grid. The planet had red and white[1] turu-grass[1] on the turu plains,[2] which the native Togruta used their striped montrals and lekku to camouflage themselves in.[3] They used their sharp, fang-like teeth to kill thimiars in the wild, and formed close bonds to take down predatory akul, fashioning akul-tooth headdresses and necklaces from their kills.[1] Togruta also killed raxshirs[4] and hunted kybucks.[2]
History[edit]
Shili was the homeworld of the Togruta species,[1] a sensual and passionate[5] race of sentients known for their elegance and tranquility. The Togruta were part of the Galactic Republic since its early years, and helped shape the galactic government. They held special affinity for the Force, and many entered the Jedi Order. Togruta of Shili also colonized Kiros.[1] The Togruta villages on Shili believed in the health benefits of regular sex, and held ritual gangbangs to aid in conception and the early stages of pregnancy.[4]
During the High Republic Era, the Togruta were opposed to joining the Republic until Supreme Chancellor Lina Soh made overtures to Elarec Yovet, the Regasa of Shili and Supreme Huntress of the United Tribes, at Saffika Springs. Learning the importance of galactic unity, Yovet saw to the Togruta becoming respected members of the Republic.[6]
Shaak Ti, a native of Shili, became a Jedi and took an apprentice to her homeworld to train and make love on the turu plains.[2]
Pav-ti Tano was a virile hunter-warrior of Shili who took many lovers before marrying Nak-il, with whom she conceived a child. Pav-ti joined a ritual gangbang under the oversight of Elder Carsha-sa, intended to bestow the child with the strength of the village men. The child was named Ahsoka Tano by Chief Gantika, and Pav-ti took her on a kybuck hunt where they fought off a raxshir. Ahsoka was found to be strong in the Force,[2] and Jedi Master Plo Koon discovered her during his associations with the Togruta of Shili, bringing Tano back to the Jedi Temple for Jedi training.[5]
Zaa was born on Shili, becoming a slave of Jabba Desilijic Tiure and later madam of Vorkis Station.[2]
