"Feast your eyes on our Pylae strip-whore. You'll want to take her down where it's wetter, trust me."
―GrottilStar Wars Erotica: The Essential Guide to Interspecies Relations

The Pylae were an exotic mammalian sentient species of the galaxy, native to the waterworld of Insmot.

Biology and appearance[edit]

The Pylae were an amphibious species[3] hailing from the waterworld[1] of Insmot[2] in the Cegul sector, shared with the land-dwelling Wokrom with whom they also shared an ancient ancestor. Typically Humanoid in appearance,[4] the Pylae possessed mammalian traits like breasts. They had hair colors including red,[3] and had blue-green skin tones. Their shapely bodies were Humanoid aside from the long, mottled tail beginning at their buttocks.[4]

The species gave rise to a subspecies called Maeur, living in the deeper oceans, distinguished by streamlined, finned skulls capped with lures that could illuminate their gloomy environments.[4]

Members of the species had thick Insmot accents. Those who lived on land were known to wear synthleather drysuits.[2]

Society and culture[edit]

While the Wokrom lived on Insmotian islands, the Pylae swam freely beneath the waves, and their Maeur subspecies resided within the deeper oceans. Both species shared the Insmotian language and a single culture, each forming one half of the Salt and Sand Corpus that legislated planetary governance.[4]

History[edit]

The Pylae and Wokrom shared ancient ancestors on Insmot, who were said to have been visited by space wizards who descended to intermingle and intermarry with the natives. This gave rise to civilization, leading to the establishment of the planetary government shared by both species.[4]

Many Pylae served as Jedi Knights, as did many Wokrom. During the Clone Wars, the species' affinity for the Force made Insmot a target for the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The planet became a Separatist protectorate under the Karkarodon Riff Tamson, who defiled natives until a clone SCUBA trooper force led by Kit Fisto liberated the world.[4]

Pylae in the galaxy[edit]

Pylae were long considered an exotic and alluring species, and were the subject of sexual fantasies of galactic explorers who dreamed of being lured into an undersea cove by a beguiling Pylae siren. Those who left their homeworld typically sought similar waterworlds such as Glee Anselm, Xxan, Strokill Prime, Iskalon, and Vindhallen. A Pylae school comprised one of the seventeen Iskalonian species. Offworld Pylae in arid environments took to wearing synthleather drysuits to keep their bodies moist.[4]

A red-haired Pylae worked as a stripper in The Old Hope imp bar on Aralia as of the time of FN-2187's visit. She performed in a medical bacta tank filled with water, and pulled her purple seashell brassiere off to the cheers of her audience, some of whom uploaded credits into her tank. The water spilled during her routine was cleaned up by a sullen Sauvax janitor.[3]

The Pylae were among the exotic aquatic species researched by the scavenger Rey while she resided on the desert planet of Jakku,[1] and she brought herself off to fantasies of being fucked by Pylae, Quarren, and other slippery and slimy species.[5] An over-excited Pylae talked to a Drabatan during Kix's visit to Maz Kanata's castle on Takodana, speaking in a thick Insmot accent and clad in a synthleather drysuit.[2]
