"Hello there. I thought you were with the porgs."
Rey to ChewbaccaThe Roots of Ahch-To

Porgs were a species native to the islands of Ahch-To, where they lived alongside other wildlife such as convorees as local guardians.

Biology and appearance[edit]

A species local to Ahch-To, porgs lived on the planet's islands alongside convorees and other wildlife.[4] Feathered birds, porgs had small, rotund bodies with large, glossy black eyes, slit-like nostrils, and wide, down-turned mouths. They possessed wings and short, three-toed feet, and had white coloration with brown and orange markings.[3] They had strident calls,[2] and though they were simple animals, they were considered to be cute.[5]

Behavior[edit]

Alongside other local wildlife, the porgs of Ahch-To served as guardians of the island which stood as the site of the first Jedi Temple and was inhabited by the Caretakers. They were pleasant enough and excitable, though could be annoying to visitors,[4] but were curious critters keen to observe activities carried out by the few beings who resided on their island.[3] They nested in the island's cliffs and dove for fish, crustaceans,[2] and small fry which were lured to the surface of the ocean by moonlight.[6]

History[edit]

"Master Luke is going to be waiting for us. Come on Fran, let's go."
―ReyAn Ahch-To Surprise

After Rey and Chewbacca arrived on the island aboard the Millennium Falcon, in search of Luke Skywalker, the Wookiee was left with the porg population while Rey sought out the last Jedi. The excitable critters annoyed Chewie, though he respected their place in the natural life-cycle of the planet, likening it to his own species' connection with their surroundings on Kashyyyk.[4] However, he also ate one of the creatures on a rotisserie while Skywalker crept aboard the Falcon.[7] Chewie left the porgs to walk up the Jedi steps and find Rey during her training, in order to engage the girl in a tryst beneath the roots of an ancient tree.[4]

Rey herself befriended several porgs during her training, learning the name from the locals and naming several herself after important people in her life, such as Finn and Fran.[5] She attracted three of the curious critters while taking time out to pleasure herself with the Skywalker lightsaber. The porgs watched intently as she inserted the weapon's hilt into her womanhood, one even sitting atop her head as she fucked herself,[3] and observed as she bathed after fucking Chewbacca.[5]

Behind the scenes[edit]

Porgs were created for Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi and were first mentioned in erotica canon in Kooriv's 2017 work "The Roots of Ahch-To". He based the references on rumors and spoilers for the then-upcoming film which suggested the creatures were guardians of the island on Ahch-To, and likened them to the convorees from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels.[4] Shabby Blue first depicted porgs in SBTLJ01 - Rey's Respite, his first erotic artwork based on the new film.[3]
