Nomi Sunrider was a legendary Human female Jedi Master who lived during the time of the Great Sith War in the Old Republic Era.
Biography[edit]
A luminous figure in a dark time, much of what was known of Nomi Sunrider was recorded in the pseudo-historical Qel-Droma Epics, which described the old wars between light and darkness in the time of the Old Republic.[source?]
She was born around 4,020 BBY,[1] on the Core World of Darada, and was married to a young Jedi Knight named Andur Sunrider, to whom she bore a daughter, Vima Sunrider.[source?] Following Andur's death, Nomi took up his lightsaber and became a great Jedi in her own right.[1]
After the victory of the Jedi in the Great Sith War, Nomi became a member of the Jedi High Council and assumed a leading role in the Order. Under the influence of Master Simikarty, author of the Teyan Apologia, she adopted a conservative outlook which led to the promulgation of the controversial Exis Reforms, which imposed strict rules on attachment and physical relationships.[1]
Despite the notoriety of her involvement in the adoption of the Exis Reforms, less chaste exploits would be attributed to Nomi in the scandalous Erotic Qel-Droma Epics, covertly promoted for a time by sects which rejected the Reforms, which controversially purport to tell the "true" story of the events described in the Qel-Droma Epics.[source?]

Physical appearance and biology[edit]
Nomi Sunrider was a female Human with fair skin, blue eyes and long auburn hair. She had large breasts and a toned, athletic figure which, during the time of the Great Sith War, she was unashamed of displaying in a brief green halter top.[1]
She wielded a lightsabre which once belonged to her husband, Andur, with a pontite kyber crystal from the Adega system which produced a green blade.[1]
Personality and traits[edit]
Following the Great Sith War, Master Sunrider developed a reputation for conservatism, under the influence of Master Simikarty, a strict and uncompromising advocate for asceticism and chastity. Simikarty's controversial status came to extend to Nomi as well and her legacy would become much debated by smaller Jedi sects such as the Ossus Traditionalists and Corpus Jedha.[1]
According to both the Qel-Droma Epics and The Erotic Qel-Droma Epics, the chief sources of information on her life, Nomi Sunrider was a kind, loving and compassionate woman who formed strong bonds with her fellow Jedi and shared a deep, loving bond with her daughter, Vima Sunrider.[2]
Sexuality and orientation[edit]
Given her role in the establishment of the Exis Reforms, Nomi's sexuality was a controversial subject; she married a Jedi and bore a child before such practices were restricted by the Exis Reforms and also took a lover during the Great Sith War.[1]
The Erotic Qel-Droma Epics suggested that Nomi had a number of liaisons with fellow Jedi during the Sith War and even shared a taboo tryst with her own daughter on the planet Rhen Var around the time the Exis Reforms were being debated.[source?][2]

Nomi Sunrider was introduced in the 1993 comic book Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi #3 from Dark Horse Comics and featured prominently in subsequent issues of the Tales of the Jedi meta-series. She was first featured in Legends erotica in 2004 in the pin-up SB2004E - Nomi Sunrider by ShabbyBlue and later in assorted works of Legends erotica fiction. She was introduced to the erotica canon in January 2024 with a reference in Star Wars: The Erotica Visual Guide: The High Republic by Kooriv.[1]
