Mustafar was a lava planet with a mining industry. It housed the Separatist Council during the Clone Wars, and was the site of a violent confrontation between Senator Padmé Amidala and Anakin Skywalker at the end of the conflict. Under the Galactic Empire, Mustafar housed an Inquisition facility that became infamous as a place where Jedi went to die, as well as Darth Vader's castle.

Description[edit]

Mustafar was a planet of seas of boiling lava. Industrial mining platforms were constructed on its surface,[1] and obsidian catacombs ran beneath Darth Vader's personal castle.[3] Its landscape was that of a fiery hellscape.[5]

History[edit]

Industrial mining platforms were built on Mustafar.[1] Darth Maul's Sith training was held on Mustafar, among other worlds including Kun-Gor and Malachor.[6]

The Clone Wars[edit]

The Separatist Alliance had its Council stationed on Mustafar until it was lost[4] when Anakin Skywalker embarked on a mission to slaughter the leadership.[7] The death of the Separatist leadership at the end of the Clone Wars saw the inauguration of the Emperor's rule,[1] after which many surviving Separatist units surrendered.[4] A signal sent out from Mustafar deactivated every Separatist secret base, weapons warehouse, and hidden droid factory.[8]

Senator Padmé Amidala confronted Anakin Skywalker on Mustafar in an attempt to convince him not to side with the Emperor. However, her attempt at aggressive negotiations was turned against her when Skywalker bound her arms, forced her to her knees, and made her suck him off on an industrial mining platform. Shoving his manhood balls-deep into Amidala's messy mouth, Skywalker accused her of conducting an affair with Obi-Wan Kenobi and turning against the Galactic Republic. Choking his wife with his cock, Anakin was distracted by the arrival of another, and confronted him with seething anger.[1] Kenobi maimed and defeated Vader,[9] and at the end of his first visit to the planet Vader was left in the lava[3] on a black sand bank,[2] necessitating a life-support suit.[9] Amidala later died from the injuries sustained there.[10]

Imperial Era[edit]

After killing Jedi Master Kirak Infil'a, Vader bled his kyber crystal on Mustafar to create his Sith lightsaber.[2] Vader maintained a personal castle on the planet, situated over obsidian catacombs. The abode was gifted to him by his master, Darth Sidious, which continued to remind Vader of his first, tragic visit to Mustafar.[3] Vader used his obsidian castle to convalesce, healing in private bacta tanks and being soothed by slave girls sent to serve as handmaidens and courtesans. These Sith consorts were rarely heard from again, and superstition circled his castle.[2]

During the Jedi Purge, Mustafar was home to an Inquisition facility where Jedi were interrogated, experimented upon, and executed by Vader. Because of this, Luke Skywalker would later refer to the planet as the place where Jedi went to die.[1] The Grand Inquisitor interrogated Kanan Jarrus over Mustafar, but was defeated in an intense duel after Jarrus was freed by Ezra Bridger, and willingly submitted to death.[11]

Rebellion Era[edit]

Vader was summoned from his Mustafar castle after the Rebel Alliance learned of the Death Star project, and joined the Battle of Scarif.[2]

After Princess Leia Organa was impregnated by the dianoga Omi in the Death Star's Garbage Compactor 3263827, Vader resolved to remove her to the catacombs beneath his Mustafar castle, in order to spare her from probing by Wilhuff Tarkin's scientists. However, she was rescued from the Death Star by Luke, Han Solo, and Chewbacca.[3]

New Republic Era[edit]

Following the death of Jabba Desilijic Tiure and the splintering of his criminal empire, several underworld gangs including the Mustafar Syndicate rose.[12]

After the fall of the Galactic Empire, the events surrounding the deaths of the Separatist leaders on Mustafar became known. Ben Solo learned details of Mustafar's history, and was informed by Luke Skywalker of the Jedi deaths that occurred there. He was later shown a vision of Mustafar by Snoke after encountering the dark-sider's presence in the forest surrounding Skywalker's Jedi Temple. Recognizing the planet, Ben witnessed the confrontation between Senator Padmé Amidala and his grandfather, Anakin Skywalker, at the end of the Clone Wars. Having been told by Luke that Amidala attempted to use her famed aggressive negotiations to convince Skywalker not to side with the new Emperor, Ben instead watched as Skywalker forced her to suck his cock, and realized the anger that Skywalker harnessed with the dark side.[1]
