Jaz Sazz was a scavenger working for the Zendiat Collective in the New Republic Era.
Biography[edit]
Sazz visited Jakku several months before the funeral of Mashra in 34 ABY, and engaged the Ithorian scavenger Trelo in an altercation over a salvaged interlift. Sazz beat Trelo to death, an act which hit Mashra hard and contributed to her later death from the Bitter Winter and the frailties of age. Rey recalled the incident after attending Mashra's funeral outside Niima Outpost.[1]
Behind the scenes[edit]
Jak Sazz was first mentioned in erotica canon in Das Flute's 2018 erotic fiction "Rey for Rent". The character first appeared in Dark Empire 5: Emperor Reborn, the fifth issue of the 1991-1992 Star Wars Legends comic book Dark Empire. Sazz's mention in "Rey for Rent" recalled the character's Legends backstory in the Dark Empire Sourcebook, where it was suggested he once beat an unidentified crewmate to death.
