"You may know that I am allies with Leto Borian in the Senate. When I was still a junior representative, I met with him in his compound on Atzerri to discuss an economic recovery bill. Ever been to Azterri, Rinnrivin?"
―Carise Sindian, to Rinnrivin DiHuttslayer

Atzerri was a planet represented in the Galactic Republic, the Galactic Empire, and the New Republic. Home to its regional Manufacturing Cartel and an economic powerhouse whose factories produced military materiel following the Clone Wars, Atzerri hosted an influx of Gotal refugees after the Antar Atrocity, and Senator Leto Borian secretly plotted with the rebellion against the Empire.

Description[edit]

A member world of the Galactic Republic, the Galactic Empire,[3] and the New Republic,[4] Atzerri featured locales such as Trader's Plaza, which saw the flow of spice, and the red-light Pemblehov District.[2] Its factories produced military materiel for the Empire, overseen by the Manufacturing Cartel.[3]

History[edit]

"They have an attraction there that you might like. Rather kitschy, accused in the local press of glorifying criminal violence, but it's a life-sized reproduction of Jabba's palace called Jabba's Throne Room. There are re-enactors dressed as guards, musicians... slave girls. Visitors can pay to spend time in the slave quarters. Or, if some visitors preferred, they could take the role of a slave girl."
―Carise Sindian, to Rinnrivin DiHuttslayer

Leto Borian oversaw the flow of spice in Trader's Plaza as a young representative of the Association of Free Trade Worlds,[2] and later served as the senator of Atzerri in the Galactic Senate of the Republic prior to and during the Clone Wars.[3] He joined the young reformist Novas,[5] though unlike fellow senators he saved his vices for clubs and Atzerri's red-light Pemblehov District.[2] After the war, Borian continued serving as Atzerri's ambassador in the Imperial Senate, and saw the Galactic Empire as a new dawn for the galaxy to reform the corruption of the Republic. The Zabrak Shona Mala was made moff of the system.[3]

The Antar Atrocity saw millions of Gotal refugees Atzerri, giving the planet's economy a boost to make it a booming post-war powerhouse despite existing beyond the Imperial military-industrial complex. As of this time, Leto's wife Nyreen Borian led the regional Manufacturing Cartel, and remained on their homeworld as Moff Mala's mistress. The Borians secretly hoped to assist the rebellion against the Empire, anticipating an uprising on Atzerri during which they could siphon off military materiel from its factories. Leto became close allies with Princess Leia Organa, rendezvousing with her in Coruscant's Star Whores club to discuss the threat of the Death Star.[3]

Senator Borian continued to represent Atzerri in the New Republic Senate,[4] and chaired the Senatorial Council that oversaw the New Republic Observer Corps.[5] He occupied a compound on Atzerri, where he met Lady Carise Sindian to discuss an economic recovery bill. During her stay, Sindian visited Jabba's Throne Room to spend time in the role of a slave girl. This life-sized reproduction of Jabba Desilijic Tiure's audience chamber from his palace on Tatooine featured re-enactors dressed as guards, musicians, and slaves, and allowed visitors to spend time in the slave quarters or roleplay as slaves. The local press accused the attraction of glorifying criminal violence.[1] Borian remained an ally of Organa,[4] supporting her when the truth of her parentage was revealed across the HoloNet,[6]

Behind the scenes[edit]

Atzerri first appeared in the 1996 Legends novel Shield of Lies, and was introduced into erotica canon with several mentions in Das Flute's erotic fiction, often in relation to his original character of Leto Borian.
