As reward for capturing the Jedi, Vader allowed Commander Appo and his men to ravish all three, and the Jedi girls were defiled by the clones. The Dark Lord of the Sith shrouded the Empire in fear and loathing.

Vader confronted his former apprentice Ahsoka Tano, engaging her in a final duel that left her defeated and ravaged. Tano knelt before Vader with her lightsabers destroyed and her clothing torn, exposing one breast. The Sith Lord loomed over her with his red-bladed lightsaber ignited, her defeated expression reflected in the glassy eyepieces of his black mask.

On the evening of Anakin's death, his spirit appeared to Luke alongside the ghosts of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda.

While Luke came to accept his father's goodness, Leia Organa was unable to see Anakin as someone who could have been redeemed. The First Order rose in the wake of the revelation of Leia's relation to Vader. Ben Solo would be tempted by the same dark passions that Vader was, becoming the dangerous Kylo Ren. Ren believed himself to be the heir to both Anakin and Vader as the grandson of the Chosen One, and walked the line between both light and dark. Luke Skywalker worried that he carried both Vader's darkness and Anakin's nobility, and that he had transmitted some of that legacy to Ben Solo, prompting his nephew's fall to the same passions as Vader. Anakin himself believed Luke to be a better man than he, having not succumbed to his arrogance.
