AG-37 was an enigmatic and itinerant repurposed assassin droid in operation for decades prior to the Hosnian Cataclysm, who endeavored to fulfill a promise to Han Solo and Chewbacca. As an associate of C-3PO's Resistance droid spy network, he hoped to save Solo's life. Unable to carry out that key aspect of his promise after Solo's death during the Battle of Starkiller Base, AG-37 set out to find surviving members of the Solo family using maps given to him by Lumpawaroo and Lowbacca.

Biography[edit]

A repurposed assassin droid, AG-37 made a promise to Han Solo and Chewbacca, and endeavored to save Solo's life as a key aspect of that promise. He was given Claatuvac Guild navicomputer maps by the Wookiees Lumpawaroo and Lowbacca, and some of his thoughts and details were collected in the secret archive of the latter's translator droid M-TD, among other data from various other notable droids. He received information from C-3PO as part of the Resistance droid spy network.[1]

While traveling aboard a Corellian Engineering Corporation freighter from the Chiloon Rift to Kamino, AG-37 learned of Han's death during the Battle of Starkiller Base via C-3PO's data dump to the spy network, and realized that he had failed to save Solo's life despite his best efforts. However, his processors reset within a nanosecond to overcome his moment of doubt, and the droid, knowing Han wasn't the only member of the Solo family still alive, remained determined to carry out his promise to the best his circuits would allow. With his purpose renewed, AG-37 consulted his navicomputer to check for shortcuts through the Rishi Maze.[1]

Description[edit]

A repurposed assassin droid, AG-37 had a cylindrical head and masculine programming. As of 34 ABY his processors had gone for decades without a proper system wipe and reboot, resulting in overly-dramatic effects that included moments of doubt over his promise to Han Solo and Chewbacca. He was enigmatic and itinerant.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit]

AG-37 first appeared in the Legends comic story Legacy 2: Prisoner of the Floating World, Part 2 as a guardian of Ania Solo, a descendant of Han Solo. He was introduced into erotica canon with a short scene in Das Flute's 2018 erotic fiction "The Living Legend", which borrowed the concept of his promise to keep members of the Solo family safe from his Legends appearances.
